Sarah Matz is a government relations, public policy, and public-sector business development strategist with more than two decades of experience helping companies and organizations navigate government, build relationships, and grow in complex public-sector markets. At GovExperts, she advises clients on legislative and regulatory strategy, procurement, stakeholder engagement, market positioning, and public sector business development. Her work spans technology, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, transportation, education, teacher prep, and emerging policy issues.
Sarah has represented the technology industry before state governments across the country, served as a senior policy advisor in the U.S. House of Representatives, worked in congressional affairs at the U.S. Department of Justice, and held policy and legislative roles at the Texas Department of Transportation. Today, she helps companies navigate public policy around technology, government, and economic growth, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and public-sector modernization. She is active in civic and policy leadership as a Director of the Texas Lyceum and Advisory Board Member of The National Center for STEM Education. Sarah holds a master’s degree in Communication and Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and a bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M University.
